My wife needed something to wrap her christmas tree lights on. So i went to the shed and grabbed 7 empty spools i had hanging on some pipe. A trip thru the dishwasher and they were ready for lights. I strand per spool. They worked great...Bob

Re use those old 11 lb welding spools.

Great idea. Not only does this work for storage, you can leave as is , hang, plug in ! Good to go !

Yup i figure next year she will get another color and i would just plug in the whole spools. I must have 50 strings of lights stashed in my attic from years gone by. Maybe i should just scrap them for the copper wire
