MIllermatic 210 vs 211

I have a millermatic 210 in mint condition, but i was thinking about selling it for a new 211. I noticed that they both have the same weld capacity. Would this be a good trade up? The 211 is real small and can operate on 110v which is nice although i usually use my maxstar 150sth if i want to be mobile (for tig of course). Is duty cycle the same on both units? how is the arc on the 211 compared to the 210?

I wouldn't do it unless you got enough out if the sale of the 210

The 210 has a higher duty cycle than the 211. So do you want to trade duty cycle for a more compact size and MVP?

Good God man!.....why would ANYONE want to sell a tool?
The 211 is a great package but I don't know if I would sell one to buy the other....that's a real noggin scratcher.

Gotta go with Broc on this one. Absolutely no reason to trade unless it was even money and then you would be trading down. If you rarely used it then it wouldnt matter much but the 210 is a full chassis machine, hold a full spool of wire, very robust. Rack for big bottle. With regular use would pay for itself in consumable savings.

Like stated, duty cycle big difference. 150 amps at 30% for 211, 160 amps at 60% for 210. Your gun cable length maybe longer too on the 210.
Miller machines are always selling for high prices used, put it out there and see what to get.
If you go to the 211 you will need a cart too where as your 210 it is part of machine. I would think for the 110 volt feature look for a used Miller140. Frequently , guys will upgrade for a 220 volt machine. Now you add one more machine to your group and your good to go. You have your bases covered for whatever you need to weld. Duty cycle might not seem like much when you only weld little things for minutes. BUT, when to got lots of metal to burn and don't want to stop, it is a big thing.

I'm with BD1, keep the 210 and add a portable mig and/or tig

Thanks guys i guess i will stick with my 210. Duty cycle is more important to me. I dont do much portable welding but when i do i can just use the maxstar 150sth.
