Went to do some tig welding on a pocket knife for a neighbor. Remote contactor worked one time and quitChecked the plug on the pedal and it is working . Any suggestions ? I am pretty sure its a 1977 model .

If the microswitch in the pedal is ok, you likely have a stuck CR3 relay in the machine. There are 3 relays, CR3 is the one furthest away from the square bridge. Give it a tap with a screw driver end, or replace it.

I tried tapping on the relay while stepping on the pedal and it still did not want to close on its own. I found a new relay on ebay and bought it. Looks like they are hard to come by. ????
