Got 2013 Miller catalog today and no Dynasty 280?? Wonder what happened?

Seems to have been pulled from all literature, even from the technical Miller site. I'm thinking severe problems with the unit or patent issues.
Big unknown here.

They are "hardening" the control boards, and optimizing cooling. Not surprising as they are pulling 280 amps out of a unit a tad bigger than a 200DX.

From what I know it is at Miller. Under full load they are not happy with internal temps. Could be an airflow issue. Nothing a few "breather holes" would not fix? Originally Posted by FusionKing

That doesn't sounds like something that would cause them to completely yank it from the 2013 product line, unless they're having to redesign the case or cooling, or both. Originally Posted by shovelon

Just like it didn't make sense to put it in the 2012 catalog. lol
I would have loved to have a portable 280 amp tig. I got the 350 and live it, takes 2 to load on the truck!!
