Don't spray soay water any where near electrical items.
Yes to test torch and hose the trigger must be thrown.
Common sense is best when testing for leaks around power.

    ok guys,
i checked for gas leaks and didnt find any. checked at the torch and everywhere else. purge the gas and put my finger over the cup and the regulator ball drops pretty darn quickly. so no gas leaks..
im still on that bottle of suspected contaminated gas, and all is fine.... so for now its running good.
    its a mystery..
    thanks for the help....

Another way to check for leaks is to turn on the gas mark level on gauge then off and leave over night.
Check level in morning. If the level has dropped then there is a leak.
