Found out recently that every time the pilgrims had a victory they gave thanks for the slaughter. There were many Indians killed for which the pilgrims gave thanks. Lincoln made it a national holiday. Interesting where the roots of these holidays came from

Well, none of us being there have a clue as to the full reasoning for the Holiday, so you are just hearing someone else's opinion Enjoy the good food the time off, every Holliday has some death related incidents along the way.
No one has been screwed over anymore then any other , it is nature the strong survive and the weak either get along or die off. We are sadly going to learn this as a nation in the future given the road we are headed down presently
