How easy of a fix and is it worth it to fix, looking at buying it for cheap. Has a newer chopper board and welds perfect and thing has been maintained good with synthetic oil every 100 hrs. It just won't idle down so the guy bought a new 305G as he has no time to fix it.

What generally happens is the plastic tab that holds the linkage onto the end of the solinoid to the carb either pops off or breaks off, thus no idle function, or the bolts that hold the idle solonoid come loose and allow the solonoid to move so much that the function doesn't work. Haven't seen a solonoid actually fail though.
