The fastest and easiest is a shear.
Since I don't own one, I use my plasma with a straight edge guide.

Ditto. I'm so po', I didn't even think of the shear. I use plasma. This is where you need a GOOD, modern plasma, though, because the old-style and even the new cheap ones don't have the automatically relighting pilot arc.

I've used a sawzall with decent results, too. You don't even need the straightedge because the expanded diamonds will recenter the blade for you for each little cut.

I have even used a jigsaw with a metal blade for tight places and it worked good
but always wear your safty goggles.......those metal bits get everywhere .

Hey richcharles what rod size should I use?I have some 60/11 they are 3/32 and 1/8.
