Shop Vac Holder Arm For Drill

That looks excellent. Do you think that there would be a risk of a fire from the occasional piece of hot metal getting sucked into the shop vac?

Hi Kiwi,
I only drill aluminium & stainless steel.
My drill press is set to the slowest speed.
I never get blue chips when drilling.
That said you could be right.
The only thing in the shop vac that is combustible would be the filter cartridge.
It is made from paper I think.
Great input mate.
Will check the temp with my infrared thermometer next time I drill stuff and let you know.
