Wondering if anyone can tell me how to repair this oil cooler. Looks like a solder joint except it is an aluminum cooler.Would like to learn to repair these instead of sending to a rad shop. Any help appreciated.

Understandable, though it's much less hassle and somewhat cheaper to let someone who has done 1000 of these at a rad shop. And it's silver solder in case you were wondering. The cooler is hot dipped in an acid solution to remove all the contaminates - oils - . Don't know how you were planiing to do it....

Is silver solder compatable with aluminum though?

Sorry, misthinking, I've been using a brazing rod AL-822, flows nice. Don't know why I had silver solder on my mind, probably as I use so much of it....
