looks good, but I hope you're going to line it with firebrick... otherwise it's going to distort all to **** with even a medium fire.
My wifey wanted a firepit too, so I made her one... out of granite.Bobcat 225NT

Those sharp corners scare me. I would surely tear up my shins on them. I like round fire pits, especially when they aren't lit and you bump into them in the dark.
