Just purchased a Syncrowave DX Tigrunner. i apoligize for my being new and untrained on the tig welding side. been fabricating and welding for 20 yrs but new to TIG. anyway i bought this welder knowing it has a help- 1 code. the local miller repair shop says 3 weeks before looking at it. I havent done anything to it yet. any suggestions (on checks or things i can try to fix ) would be gladly appreciated.

If you download the manual from this website and look on page 41 you will see:
Help1 Display
An SCR overcurrent or undercurrent condition has occurred.
Turn power off and back on to correct condition.

Unlikely to the above, as the help 1 persists, so your stuck with the problem being the Hall (lem) or problems with the main control board. The are Leds on the board, could tell you more with a serial#

you are correct. the HEPL-1 does say An SCR overcurrent or undercurrent condition has occurred. Turn power off and back on to correct condition. so with that any suggestions would be taken and greatly appreciated.
