Great idea with the 1 x 2 angle, I'm guessing the shoulder of the gunslides right along the edge...
I have to admit, I am adicted to making sparks and melting metal

they do make a set of wheels for it you can adjust the stand off on them , but its not great for small turns and shapes, but long smooth runs it works well. i'll try to remember to get a pic of it wile in the shop today.

i have the wheels but they are cumbersome and require annoying adjustment. i want a fixed standoff that is as big as the collar.

I have to agree, you can work around it many ways, but a functional drag shield seems academic...
