I made this a little while back for one of my players.
With his spasms he wanted an armrest with a higher outside "wall" to keep his elbow from hopping off the rest. This is what I came up with.

So that's how you keep an elbow planted on a chair!! haha
For some reason I can't find pictures of how I mounted it to the chair post, but I put two holes in the bottom plate and welded nuts on the bottom so we didn't have to worry about losing the nuts with the arm rest. It has also been padded out with some 1/8" rubberMiller Mig 140 Autoset (2010)
