I have (& love) my MM210; I would like to use it "portable" with my yamaha generator (650DEH) 6600 watt 220 volt.
The only issue I have is connectivity as the welder has the 3 prong and my gen has a 30 amp 4 blade twistlock.
Is it do-able?
Thanks ahead of time!
Mike

yes, it can be done.......
sorry, i answered your question. again, another novel, but i wasn't thinking & sent you the answer to your private messages. but, in short, the generator plug has (2) hot legs, (1) neutral, & (1) ground. the welder only needs both hot legs & the ground. anyway, i explained it all in the PM i sent ya. but again, make sure the generator is equiped with a 30 amp breaker before doing what i told you! if i didn't make any sense just let me know. good luck! rodney

Mike,
You would want to use the 2 hot legs and the ground to power your Millermatic 210 not the 2 hot legs and the neutral. The neutral is typically used for a return for the 115 volt in a full KVA plug.

Thanks for the picture; I'm going to make one as it seems easy enough!
Been trying to find this answer for months
