I am a maintenance manager at a small construction company.
We have a Miller Bobcat 250 NT with an Onan motor.
The ironworkers say that they can be welding fine then all of a sudden the power spikes and they burn through there stock. So then they turn it down a notch and it won't even spark. Does anyone know what may be wrong with this welder? I don't know where to start?
Thanks for your imput.

Mailman219,
I am not a service tech, but the Bobcat is very simple inside. It sounds like your rheostat (amperage control) may be bad.Have a great day!
