Default Cert for welding crane booms?

Is there any special certification required to weld repair crane booms?

It would depend who you will be working for.

If you are working for the OEM then they will have the ultimate say.

Any other employer would depend on state regulations first.

Why do you want to know? That might help get you a better response.

Be REALLY CAREFUL when getting into this type of work. Always try your ****dest to have an engineer directing you with things like crane booms. Too much liability there for my liking. Lawyers are bad juju.
