O.k people lets clear this up once and for all ....................
we all know that if you weld a part to be anodized with 4043 the welds will turn all black, therefore we should use 5356. what are some outher pros and cons? for example, welding two different aluminum alloys together, etc. 4043 can weld the following aluminum alloys: 1100, 5052, 6061,and 356 (casting). more info on filler rods and thier applications can be found on google search: the handbook of advanced materials............page 407.
