After so many years of wrapping up welding leads, I decided to try reels.
I settled on Alumareels. The folks there are very friendly and helpful, and getting them shipped to the States was easy too.
They look to be very well made, and should work out fine.
I put them inside a box on my truck, and bored holes throught the wall to have the connections outside.

They are becoming a very popular item here in Alberta. Still a little pricey for my taste. But I'm sure you're gonna appreciate "rollin' up" at the end of the day 'cause you'll be the first wrapped up and first at the gate. I like your idea of keeping them secure in the cabinet...copper sure has become a popular item these days! Good purchase J Hall.

They are very nice indeed, I like the idea of keeping them out of sight out of mind! Nice install, great job J Hall.

The AlumaReels are worth every penny in my eyes, and the customer service is hard to beat! Someday I'll have a set I can call my own!!!

So Jeff,
Fess up man, how much did they cost, to your door?
Not to be critical (well Ok, to be critical), but I'd of at least cleaned the big chunks of mud and manure off my leads before spooling them up. And I'd of spooled them up just a touch neater than that. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to repaint the inside of the box.
Other than that looks great. How's that Ford holding up?
How's those Vantage 300's holding up?

I hang my head in shame
OK, so it isn't good to showcase someone's product in a sloppy manner.
Sorry Mitch! (but there was NO manure on the leads)
See the new picture
I never put the price on the web
The Ford is doing great, got some cool seats too.
The Vantages are humming along just fine
I even tossed in a pic of my truck when it just happened to be clean.Jeff

All REAL welders have (at least little) manure on their leads. I have mud (from 5 different states + mexico), manure (from 3 different states + mexico), barnicles and two or three unidentifiable things on my leads. At least until tomorrow when I put the new ones on the truck.
You still need to practice on spooling up the leads.
I'm very impressed with the seats. Those are "rich farmer dude" seats and I only wish I had some like them.
Man that Ford cleans up nice!
Why don't you post the price??? Or someplace that will???
