Greatings, thanks for the service...My son inlaw just got out too. I got this from Ask Andy last year try this website, it has a wealth of info written by a guy on the cutting edge...http://www.weldreality.com/ He takes the guesswork and hocus pocus out of welding. It'll take you as far as you want in this field...

Ed's a good resource, just take everything with a grain of salt. I know of at least several passages that are flat out copied-and-pasted from Lincoln Electric's technical articles, with no credit whatsoever.
