Hey fellows im looking for ideas for projects i can do in welding class. My instructor said it could be anything as long as it wasn't monsterous or illegal, any one with any ideas i would appreciate it. maybe a o/a rig, or a lightweight cutting table for torch or plasma, or a small welding table that has extendable legs to adjust for height, and since i have to carry whatever it is in my car it needs to be lightweight and not real big.

Steve Smith Autosports has a nice little book: The Racer’s Guide to Fabricating Shop Equipment:
http://www.ssapubl.com/product.aspx?nbr=S145
while it is written with home race shops in mind, there are plans that anyone with a home farm shop should find interesting. Some of the projects may be a little elaborate, tho.
Don't know how your interests go, but there are also plans for English wheels and planishing hammers out there on the web, easy to find on Google.
Good Luck, Mark
