About how much do you have invested mot including the bag? I had plans to make my own rest to but the bag alone was $22 and a brand new MTM predator front rest was $25. I like the MTM unit but the rubber rest and coarse thread plastic adjuster aren't that precise. I love the simplicity of your design as well. Great looking welds too! TIG isn't it? where did you get the tube nuts?

Thank you. Fastenal has the tube nuts but you could probably use nuts and tig them in a piece of heavy wall pipe, but those tube nuts work really well, however you do have to chase the threads with a tap. Other then that the other expense, of course the bag (made in USA) and the threaded rod. The Caldwell rests you see for 25 dollars are way too light and flimsy. I will get some pics of the rest in action.
