42" Hi Def flat screen corner mount.

My wife bought a 42" flatscreen TV and we need it mounted in the corner. It came with brackets to hang on a wall but ours needs to be corner mounted. I made some brackets from 1" sq x 1/8 wall tube and welded 1/4"x2" plates on the end. Prob is there will never be a stud where you need it and the tv weighs about 60 + pounds so i am going to screw some oak strips on the wall into the studs then bolt the brackets into the oak strips. Then there will be a shelf hanging down to set the DVD player and the cable box on (not made yet)...Bob
