Hello,

I am a owner of a welding company however am closing my business. I have four Miller welding machines that I am trying to sell but I dont know how much I should price them. If someone could give me a ball-park figure the value of the machines I have below, I would really appreciate it. All of the machines are in great condition, have no damage to them and run prefectly.

Miller Trial-blazer 302 Diesel: Hours on machine 2422
Miller Trial-blazer 302: Hours on machine 2601
Miller Bobcat 225: Hours on machine 3197
Miller Legand 302: Hours on machine 3166

I buy and sell welders, the diesel machine would bring $3400-4400 tops, hours on that things is higner then most like but the diesel helps .
The trailblazer and legend would bring around $1600-2200 hours are very high.
Bobcat 225 $1400-1800
Most important would be case condtion, if the cases are dented, heavily scratched, rusted etc deduct 500-900 from the above prices. FYI if you ever start another welding company sell the smaller welders right around 1500 hours. Still get good value from the welder then. People tend to get scared of the smaller engine drives in your hour range.

I think the prices you gave for the gas drives are high. In my opinion you'd be lucky to get $1000 each for them with that amount of hours.

I would have to agree with this, I would never buy a gasoline engine powered welder with more then 2000 hours unless it was DIRT cheap.

If the cases of the welder are good, paint is good, and they run weld right thoose machines could bring as high as 2500 easily. Try to find a 302 legend or TB for 1000, good luck. They still are newer welders, current production welders with a new retail of 4200-4700. They easily will bring that in my market, IE chicagoland market, if you live in southern states expect less. I have been at auctions where miller 251's have brought over 2k, and thats with 2k hours on them!

Those would be resonable prices to me depending on the overall condition and wear. I would be more apt to buy a machine with hours on it then one that has sat in a barn. Unless the high hour machine looks like it fell out of a truck.

what auctions would you be going to in the chicagoland area?

I was at RB about 2 years ago bobcat 250s with 900-1400 hours with beat to death cases were selling for 2200-2700 range.
