    Default Dynasty 200 DX

I sold my trailblazer for money reasons a while ago, but Ive been thinking instead of getting another trailblazer, I was thinking of getting a Dynasty 200 dx. Now my dryer outlet at the house is only a 20 amp breaker I believe. Will I be able to run the welder, and if so at what amps? Any help is appreciated.

If your asking whether a 20 amp runs a 240v dryer, I dont know. Im reading the number on the switch itself. It says 20. Im guessing 20 amps. Their are not other numbers on the breaker. The range/oven breaker says 40, and the water heater which is hard wired says 30. Do you think those numbers stand for amps. I suck when it comes to electricity. I will get the 200 dx over the trailblazer if I can run it at the house, but if I cant, then it looks like I will have to go with the trailblazer, and then buy a dx down the road.

As Bob mentioned you'll be able to weld at the rated output- which would probably cover a lot of your needs-

20amps seems low for a dryer- thought they were 30amp-

Yeah Broccoli1, in our old house it was 30 amps, but we live in base housing, and they went with all 20's except for the range, and the water heater. I appreciate your help brother. Bob, thank you as well. Looks like Im gonna go with the dx. I loved my tb302, but you cant tig alluminum with it, and I got allot of calls asking if I welded alluminum, and it hurt to say no, but I guess that wont be the case now. Thanks again gents, I appreciated it.

Cant Tig aluminum ? I used mine for years to tig aluminum out in the field. Now I mostly just run the dynasty off of it (less stuff to hook up)

How did you tig alluminum off of a tb302 with no high frequency, or did you have millers HF box attached to the tb302. You can tig alluminum with the tb302, if you buy a $1200.00 box I believe it is. I loved my tb302, but I really liked the 200 dx, because I used it for about everything in the shipyard, but it struggles with 1/2" alluminum tig. I broke out the 350 for thicker stuff. Living in base housing you have to keep the noise down to a minimum, that another reason for steering away from an engine drive right now.
