There used to be an old blacksmith in Camp Verde AZ. I'm sure he's gone by now, he was in his eighties then.
He was prouder'n a pup with two tails about two things, he loved his blacksmithing skills, but he was proudest of all about a five year old grandson that could lay down a bead with an old tombstone.
Kid's got to be in his late teens by now. And I bet he's a good welder too.
I believe everyone should know how to weld. But we need to remember welding safety first and foremost. There's no reason for young welders today making the same stupid mistakes we made back in the day.
