Sounds like a gimick, learning what heat, wire speed does is part of the learning process.

i agree, you should have to learn some thing before you start welding stuff. scary how easy they are making welding. seeing some of the crap that ends up on the road now is bad enough already. maybe this will help hold some of it together ?? or could make it worse ??? hard to tell ???
