time to share some photos.since the board has been pretty dead lately,here is my most recent completed project.i am only able to upload one at a time.

cant upload another ,exceeds capacity.i know there is a better way to get pictures sent across,ill have to go back and search that.
oh yeah,gate frame is 2x2x1/8 square tube,2x1/4 flat bar and 1/8 plate steel.

Very nice. What was done for finish? And, was that your job, or, someone else's?

gates were made for a customer.paint -2 coats of acid etch primer,2 coats of a blended black and brown,a ragged finish of a lighter blended gold and light brown,and clear coated.(all automotive paint)

great looking gates ill tell you nothing beats the beauty of a good one of a kind fab job, instead if the cookie cutter stuff we always see.

Fabulous job, I like it. I agree with Migman on the one of a kind fab job, thats why the small stuff I make, I never make 2 alike, each one is different in its own way. This is what makes our job special, a lot of people don't want that standard look of things from China or fake metal as I call it.

As far as loading your pictures, change the settings on your camera to the lowest resolution setting which I believe is 640 x 480. You can also resize your pictures in a photo program that you already have on your computer.

What exactly is the acid etch primer and how is it applied? I am a general contractor and I am always interested in neat finishes. Gate is really nice and a perfect match for the stone opening.
