    Default Anyone made a cart for their Dynasty 200?

    Just wanted to post a couple of pics of the cart I made to hold my Dynasty 200DX and the water cooler and argon bottle.
    This turned out to be a very compact cart and rolls and turns with a single finger........



    I modeled this off Miller's cart but I have put 2 inch swivel wheels under the gas bottle. This makes it easier to move the cart. Miller uses no wheels there and you have to tilt the cart to move it.

    For the shelving I used 1/8 inch thick stainless steel plate.



    I put a switch and receptacle on the cart.
    The toggle switch turns on the water cooler and the other outlet is always on and I use that for the grinder.

    Nice job. I like the way you have a place for everything including the pedal. Just out of curiosity why did you bolt the bottom pan to the frame?

    Well, I had a reason at the time.
    I wanted to paint the separate pieces then put them together.
    I also thought I wanted to be able to take it apart if something needed to be tweaked.
    I started the fabrication by cutting the steel plates for the bottom box on the Bridgeport.
    I cut grooves in the 3/4 inch axle to hold the axle in place with circlips and to hold the wheels on.
    This allowed me to remove them easily.......



    Then I welded up the box and the upper part of the cart. The two pieces go together with (8) half inch bolts. Here are the two pieces ready for primer and paint.........



    While I had the pieces on the Bridgeport I did things like provide slots in the legs so the exhaust from the cooler would not be blocked. Yeah, I know, kinda silly, but it works.........



    After the primer came the paint. Then I bolted it together. I almost outsmarted myself because the fabrication was a very close fit and with the paint on there it became even tighter.
    But I put not a scratch in it and it all went together like a kit.........

    I built my own , not nearly as well thought out as yours. Those pics were while cart was in progress. I don't think I have any pics of it as it is today.

    What is the material? It looks like either stainless or aluminum.
    The lower shelf looks like it will hold a water cooler easily.
    How about the gas bottle location?
    Does it fit in the cutout on the corner?

    Yes the cut-out is for my bottle. I also put my Bernard 3500ss cooler on the bottom. Material is aluminum. I will post another pic as it is today.

    How about a cart for a 300DX. Water cooler underneath, plasma cutter above and 2 tank capacity in the back.

    Very nice. I want to do something similar, but put my MIG welder where you have the water cooler (I use an air cooled TIG torch on my 200DX). You've given me some good ideas; thanks for posting. How did you match the paint?

    I just removed 4 screws on my Millermatic 251 Mig machine and took the lower side panel off.
    Then took the panel to my local PPG dealer where they scoped the paint with that wonderful computer. After they mixed the paint they registered it under my name as 'Miller Blue' in case I need more in the future.
    The paint mix was a perfect match.

    Your Mig should work well under the 200DX as long as it is a smaller Mig (like a Mig 130 o ra 140).
    If it has a lifting side panel that may present a small problem, but I am sure it can be worked out.
