Tried to use my new delta today didnt get very far the thing caugth on fire before got first cut done on 1 1/2 inch tube quite upsetting acualy have to call the dealer in the A.M see if they have another motor on the shelf if not any suggestions on motor manufacturors thanks garth

Preperation
I hope you had an extinguisher... i know that they can tend to be expensive. I have already admitted some of my stupid mistakes here on the board, however if there is one thing that I am overly cautions of that is the chance of a fire. If you look around you can find a large CO2 extinguisher for a good price. Also great for discouraging large attack dogs from trying to make you a snack.
Time to learn & Time to burn...

If it's a new saw, the dealer should be looking for a new saw to give you, not a new motor.

Hi Garth here agian first ? yes I had a fire extinggisher I learned that lesson the hard way a few years back cost me a welding truck had the extingisher at the house not in the truck now have one everywhere And I called the dealer this morning and they will have a new one tomorrow in the AM so that i can get to this excavator thumb job thanks for your input garth
