I cut it out of 12 gauge hot rolled steel. Used 3/4 inch galvanized pipe and a pipe cap. Bought the roof mount and used 3/4" steel rod and 2 ball bearings. Hasn't been even a little breeze all danged day so I still don't know how well it actually works...
