If you are going to weld two pieces of metal together, one is 1/16'' thick and the other is 1/8'' thick. What does the manual say, do they give you an approximate setting for the two. Or is it only for one size only.

Rob,
I was taught that you set up for the thicker piece, and dwell less on the thinner metal as you do your pass. Best thing to do is take a couple of test coupons, and just run a few beads to see what setting and speed works for your skill level.
