Due to confidentiality nothing I can talk about or show. It was quite complex and took a little over 2 months to complete.

I hear that. I've signed more than one non disclosure agreement myself. I'll start posting some of my own projects as soon as I get another digital camera.
Sometimes there's no second chances.

Not welding related...but
I've almost got my 1970 Chevy 3/4 ton running around.

Picked up a 454 with TH 400,

Did a leak down...thought the motor was great. Checked the bearings...they were destroyed...Rebuild time! Found out it was bored .060, so it is a 468...a little more displacement never hurts :P
Replaced the factory crank, with a cast steel Scat version, with new main and rod bearings. Plenty good for the power I'll make. New cam bearings, new Edelbrock cam, gasket matched heads and intake, new valvesprings, crane roller rockers, Melling high volume oil pump, new ARP rod bolts, Edelbrock performer rpm intake, new weiand water pump...and there is still more going into it.

Just need a new flexplate, starter, and carburetor. Motor should be complete, and bolted back to the trans by the end of the weekend, except those 3 parts.
I guess I have one of the trans, when it was still apart. TransGO shift kit. Mildly boosted line pressure, control of manual low at any speed...and some other cool stuff.

And because I've posted a few things about this truck...but never pictures, here are a few more.

That trailer is 17.5' That might help put the rest of the truck in perspective.
That's my current project though!Precision is only as important as the project...if you're building a rocket ship...1/64" would matter. If you're building a sledgehammer...an 1/8" probably wont.

Nice! One of the best styles of truck ever made IMO.

Here are a few jobs i have been doing this week. The first one is the Plant Stands. I do lots of them esp this time of year.
Speaking of this time of year its The Steel Valley Super Nationals right now in my town and driveshaft work is doing well. Just finished my 123rd and 3rd this week. Seems like everyone forgets they need a shaft cut down for their ride...Bob

Looking at the graphic at the top of the Steel Valley Supernats page I see our "Rat Fink" of yesterday has been replaced by some alien looking creature!!

Yes it does. Kinda makes you feel good when you see 300 cars sitting in a lot and you can pick out all the parts you made and welding you did on some of the cars over the last 30 years. Just finished up a driveshaft for a '65 Ford F-100 with a 429 and dual turbos. I saw the kid cruising town about an hour after it left my shop...Bob

Just some stuff i've done recently. I am now known as the "dude to call" for welding jazz that needs to be done at the shop where my dad works!
The pull up bar is for my brother, shelves are for my other brother's tool room where he works, and the cart is for my Red box!
