how high a welding table should be?

All welding tables should be exactly 33 13/16" high.

One of the nice things about metalworking, it's easy to make things longer or shorter as needed.

Just build one, leaving enough room to cut some off the bottom of the legs if necessary, or add some. Or do like the guy previously said, make the legs adjustable.

I agree with what SundownIII said. Like shoes, there is no perfect "one size fits all".

here is my table it is 35 inches tall it fits me I 'm 5'8".

I am 5' 10" tall. All my benches are 40 inches tall. This seems to be the perfect height for me and those I have made benches for in the past. You obviously can make the bench any height you wish. If you are going to stand at the bench like you said you are I am sure you will find that 90 cm is too low for most tasks and will be hard on your back. I also suggest you add some receivers as others have mentioned. Good luck.

Of course it depends on the height of the work and the height of the operator.

All of the tables in my plant are adjustable from about 28" to 38". Some legs are a tube inside a tube with a quick pin. Others have back to back channels with slots.

I built my table 42" high. it's very comfortable standing / working if the projects aren't too big. However it puts the vise way to high. I'm thinking about receiver tubes on the legs to bring the vise lower.

The height of my bench is 35" or 88.9 cm The bench is 48" x 96" (121.92 x 243.84 cm) this works well for me at 6'4" (193.04 cm).I like it very much. Hope you find what works for you. I add a picture of my bench for you.

My table is a piece 3/4"(19mm) plate 36"(91cm) in dia. I put 3-40"(101.6cm) legs on it.
It's fine for little things, but any thing very tall I have to stand on a box.
For tig welding I can sit on a bar stool and work the pedal.
Mig welding it's fine. Stick welding, it's back on the box again.
Before I would cut that one down, I'd build one a litte shorter, maybe 4"or 5"
(10cm or 12.7cm) shorter.
