Has anyone tried connecting the 3035 spoolgun to the Miller Passport? Miller tech support advised against it, but could give no better reason that it produces more "popping", whatever that means.

Are you thinking of welding aluminum or just trying to extend the machine's reach?

Aluminum. This seems like a good solution to onsite jobs.
