Thanks for all the replays and Q@EPM I will most likely be getting in touch with you. I forgot about this thread until today, I guess other projects have been keeping me busy.
I only use a gas lens unless it will not fit so that can be checked off the list and I have a back gas (purge setup) and would not think to do any project without.
I actually have a little header/ exhaust experiecne. I worked in an aircraft exhaust shop for a summer many moons ago (10 years now). I did not get to do much welding but I did alot of fabrication. Almost everything was made from 321 stainless (I meant 321 in the first post not 347, which is the filler for 321).

where do you source all your tubing from?? i know of a few places that use 321 stainless for headers and id like to know where i can buy it in lengths

yea ive seen that site before and no doubt I would order from there if i had a really critical job, I wonder where pro shops like AWE tuning get their stuff. I would love to work at one of these places just to see how they do everything..

thanks! that stainless works site seems a bit over prices especially on their V-bands
I have ordered from Ace Stainless before and talked to them over the phone, great people and exellent customer service
