Do a search for Swisher online . They make mowers, atv accessories etc. They have a blade kit which can use a winch or a manual lift kit. Tractor Supply carries their stuff. If you have one close, take a look. Manual lifting is not fun. Places like Harbor Freight sell atv winches cheap. may not be the greatest, but if it's just lifting a blade, you're ok.

hey nick thanks for your reply, I am using the basic design of the swisher blade with a few modifications and a little bit heavier metal where needed, I got ideas for this of my dads quad, but he has a winch, and the local tractor supply deals them but have none in stock to steal ideas from, maybe ill just have to try to convince this guy he needs a winch. it would make things a lot simpler for me. thanks and god bless.[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Just weld it!!!
