Just bought a Miller S-75D wire feeder and am getting it hooked up. The instruction manual gives 2 different locations for connection points on the drive housing for attaching the weld power cable. One is for up to 350 amps and the other is for 350 amps and above. Most welding will be done below the 350 amps, but the distributor here could not tell me if the connection point needs to be changed for occasional higher amp welding or why there is a difference. Seems like the higher amp connection spot should be good for all conditions and you could just leave it there. I am sure there is enough wisdom on this board to clear this up before I do any damage.
