This is a lifting A Frame used in our control panel fabrication shop. I built this after looking at the commercial versions that were available and not being impressed with their features or cost.
This unit features hydraulic cylinders for engine hoists incorporated into the vertical uprights to allow convenient height adjustment. Unit is adjustable from 8 1/2 to 10 1/2 feet high.
First picture is A Frame with chain hoists, second is close up of hydraulic adjustments, third is detail of attachment between uprights and I -beam.

Very nice job. The hydraulic jacks is a good idea, never saw that set up before. The one I have lets the upper tube slide through the lower tube & you hook a come-a-long to it to raise or lower it.
