    Default HF-251D-1 High-Frequency

    Hy, is there someone who now about HF-251D-1 High-Frequency unit plug whit XMT 304 cc/cv. Is this unit gonna convert to AC power for aluminium tig welding? Or it's just gone give me a smooth start on stainless tig weld??

    Your XMT has DC output only, no AC. The HF251 will not give you AC ouput, that can only come from the welding machine.

    What the HF251 will do for you is allow you to use no-touch high frequency start on DC tig, as well as provide a gas solenoid/valve controlled by the foot pedal, and gas timers pre-flow and post-flow timers, if it is equipped with those options.

    If you were to connect the HF251 to a welding power source with AC output, the HF unit would give you continuous high frequency for tig welding aluminum with AC.
