One thing I have found handy is to get the heavy welder extension cord off the floor and out of the way by using wire rope and pulleys and getting everything up where I didn't keep rolling the welder over the cords all the time. One thing that also is handy is to replace the single plug on the end of the cable with a 6x6 box and putting two plugs in it so You don't have to keep unplugging the plasma cutter (tig welder, etc) so you can plug in the welder and use it. Both can share the circuit but you can only use one at a time. I used heavy split bolt connectors and insulated them , with dual pigtails off each wire. That way only one wire is connected to each terminal of the recipitical like they were designed and code requires.
