Hi all have just found this forum and have been enjoying reading your posts. Lots of good info.
I have recently signed up to night classes to learn welding and love it so far.
We will be able to make a project towards the end of the course. I am deciding between a cage for my box trailer or saddle racks for my saddles...but then a welding table would be handy
I have lots of things to fix around the place and then I want to make some stuff. And practise practise practise

Welder was one of the best things I have bought for my shop. Even being in the city I have easily paid for it with just repairs around the house and yard. Not to mention expanding my creativity.

Thanks for the welcome.
This is what I made while tinkering around last night.
My farrier gave me these shoes the other day when I asked if he had any to get rid of. The worst part was cleaning off all the mud and p00. I just used a wire wheel on the grinder.
Should I hang it on the outside wall or should I use it as a trivet on the table?

possm. I made a swivel saddle rack that will hold two saddles and it is portable out of EMT. I don't have a pic of it handy though. I also do some horseshoe stuff and here are some samples.
The last is a gate latch made out of a farriers rasp and a horseshoe.Just because you have one, doesn't mean you have to act like one.
