Now that I have my CP-300 working (http://www.millerwelds.com/resources...lp-with-CP-300), I have a question about OCV:
Is OCV what the DC voltage should be at the terminals under no load?

Yes, I think you have it. The MIller GMAW refernce book states that OCV is Open Circuit Voltage ..."a welding machine that is turned on but not being used for welding at the moment will have an open circuit voltage applied to the cables attached to the output terminals of the welding machine."

That's what I thought, mine was off (about 7-8 volts)..but I figured out why. The voltage indicator on the front is a metal strip that travels up or down when the dial is turned and there are two holes on the metal for mounting. It looks like the strip is mounted with the wrong hole.
