No worries. Its something I've had on my mind for a while, to do to my truck...But my list of things is longer than my bank account will cover. So, slow but steady.
Just make sure you leave some all thread in the seat mounting holes when you do it...or it'll be a royal pain to clean it out of there...Had to do that to a 34 Pontiac business coupe. NOT a fun time.Precision is only as important as the project...if you're building a rocket ship...1/64" would matter. If you're building a sledgehammer...an 1/8" probably wont.

Beaucoup info on older Chebby/GM trucks of that style.
I have a couple myself including a wrecker, (gotta tow the Fords home with something reliable)
and like 'em a lot.

Well, i found a deal on a third rig, and i couldnt pass it up.... got the truck for 3500 bucks and the machine for 5000.... 94 f250 with the 7.3 and a 5 speed manual and it runs great. the machine is a 2007 pro 300... pics to follow... (havent had time to build a proper bed for it, so i tacked brackets to the bed to hold the machine in place, lead racks, and boxes...... will show progress pics when i have time to shut this truck down...

i love it! it seems to have better arc characteristics than the trailblazers that i have, a whole lot more quiet, and it gets really good fuel economy. what i dont like is that its a little top heavy, and the truck gets a little squirly off-road. if given the chance to trade off all my gas burnin engine drives for low rpm diesel, i would with a quickness tho

What year Trailblazers do you have? My 2007 seems pretty decent but I don't have much to compare it to... well other than my inverters (Dynasty 200 and XMT 304). I DO know the Pro 300 is WAY quieter and that's never a bad thing.

I don't do enough portable yet to justify a diesel machine, hopefully someday.

i have a 99 (i think) 250 trailblazer and a 2008 275 dc trailblazer... they are great machines, dont get me wrong, but the fuel economy of the diesel is FAR better than a gasser... and alot quieter
