    Default Thanks for the help, porch rail is done.

    Your suggestions on how to weld the cast ornaments on the porch rail worked just fine. I just stuck them on there with some 7018, ground it down smooth and hit the whole thing with some rustoleum and all is well, the wife is happy.

    And I thought the mitered cap rail welded together real nice.

    Nice looking job. It also doesn't hurt doing a favor for the wife now and then.
