Pictures of a portable gantry I built last fall. We had the 4000lb beam crawler and nothing to put it on. It works great for cylinder rebuilds, pulling engines, etc.

Is there a reason why you bolted the I beam vertically? Instead of just putting a pad on the column horizontally and setting the beam on top?
