Hi All,
I recently completed building a gantry crane I purchased from here: Gantry Crane Plans. I'll post some pics when I get it back, just finished it and a friend already borrowed it. After getting it all together, I realized how much of a pain it is to raise and lower the height of the I-Beam. I was wondering if anybody has built one of these and put a cable winching system on one? I think that would make it a lot easier to adjust the height. I saw a gantry crane on the Harbour Freight website that has a winching system but can't tell how it works from the picture on the site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Craig
