    I have never ran an alum rod, never used oxy either, should have learned that one as it could have been useful. I should get some electrodes for giggles.
    This is a good thread, it didn't interest me much at first but with as many responses as it got I figure to look, glad I did.

    Don't bother with trying the aluminum stick rods. They are only better than nothing at all..
