Just a little adapter I fabricated up to be able to use the 3 point to connect a trailer. This is not an original idea. I found something very similiar on the web and just welded up one pretty much like it. The safety chain slots I did on a mill. By using the 3 point I am able to raise or lower the trailer tongue for level and to transfer some weight. I sandblasted the adapter and powder coated it red.
Fwiw, I also fabricated up the trailer which was a 1 ton pickup bed.

Thanks. I did not keep track of the time but I think it took around 4 hours total.

Sweet!
That's a great looking and functional set-up. Great job. I'm not sure I'd want to 'pull' that trailer loaded with hardwood down that snowy hill. Which got to the bottom first, the tractor or the trailer? Thanks for the post.

Thanks, You are pretty sharp (and wise). Here is a picture where the whole setup slid 100+ feet before I could get her reved up so the wheels would catch up. The other picture is of the trailer load. Out here in the country we don't have to worry about the police or DOT. Usually Darwin takes care of fools doing things like this.
No welds cracked or were harmed in any of these pictures.

Twocentsworth:
The simplicity of design is cool. And thanks for 'fessin up' about your adventure, including a pic. Maybe save someone else a Darwin Moment.
And kudos to Jerems for spotting the situation.

When I look at that all I can think about is that thread awhile back where a guy wanted to build a wood hauling 5'x10' trailer out of 1" square tubing.
He thought we were jerks for dissing his design.
Wood sucks...I cannot believe just how much I've burnt this week just to cut back on propane
