Holder for TIG Torch 1

*This is shown below as TIG Torch Holder 1.
*I modified this in my SolidWorks CAD package to come up with my version of this design: TIG Torch Holder 2.
*I decided that I didn’t like the filler rods sticking up from the pipe so I eliminated it, and added a place for filler rods on the bottom. This resulted in: TIG Torch Holder 3.
*I built this design which is shown as: TIG Torch Holder 3a.

*I tried it out TIG Torch Holder 3a and found that my monster gas lens for welding stainless steel didn’t fit. I also didn’t like fitting the nozzle into the hole while welding so I came with: TIG Torch Holder 4. This design uses an aluminum angle instead of a hole to hold the torch.
*I built this design which is shown as: TIG Torch Holder 4a. I just tried it out tonight and so far I like it.

This is a work in process so any other ideas would be appreciated.

nice job! Only thing is I'm bothered about is the tig wire laying underneath. Everytime you grab the torch, more crud and dust falls off your glove making the filler area really dirty.............

KBar, at first I just thought that someone deleted their posts. But that can't be the case, 'cause Don52 started the thread...think some guys crossed over from another thread. Some of the stuff that was quoted looks familiar.....

Boy, that's freaky. Started out with a great post by Don52 showing some creativity and went to a slugfest out of the blue. Weird

I can see all deleted posts, and it was as you had observed, not just strange because of deletions. A guy was making a torch holder and then suddenly someone posted an unrelated Miller-bashing post. (and then there were posts in response to it) I deleted many of the responses, because that whole thing made no sense, but then realized that might make everyone even more confused, so just wanted to chime in and let everyone know what I was seeing. So...I wonder if it wasn't some type of spam? Very strange indeed.
